Simple Steam question

Quick question, do you need a Steam account to play on LAN games? I'm using CS: Condition Zero, by the way.

dont u need STEAM(ing pile of faecal excretion) to log in to play any game that uses it?

No, you can create custom games and play the Campaign mode without it.

I friend showed me how, by the way. One person starts a custom game and then anyone else on the network can open the console and type "slist" to see what servers are running and then connect to them.
