Should games be banned ?

I can already think of 2 people that went for a job at a Game shop, and they both got sacked after 2 days for selling games without asking for identification on potential under age people... the shop managers over here really enforce it. As a result most shop sales people seem to be over 21 and actually care about who goes to what.

They are not what i mean, and anyone with a clever mind would realise...no game developer would make such games

I am talking about games that are like how they are NOW. but scenes were drugs are used shouldn't have to be deleted, strong sexual references should be allowed, and if i want to saw someones head off - i shall saw someones head off. If people are allowed to go into war in real life, and fire a rocket at someone..then they sure as heck should be allowed to do it in a fantasy world. If people are allowed to have sex, then why are they not allowed to see non real sex.

I can quickly assume this is to protect any minors who may see the content of the video games. But then the kind of 18 to 25 year old that may play this game is not likely to be around a child of an age were they are both unsuitable to see it yet also understand it. Anyone older than 25 and who does have a child would be responsible enough to not play the game whilst the child is round.

I do not think anyone would buy a game if there role is to be a pedophile, or be Hitler either etc .

And yes.. its part of me that got addicted to them, and the games themselves for being addicting.. 50/50

Heh i cant blame video games for being bad in school. If it wasnt video games it would have been something else.

I laugh every time i hear a game's content is getting banned or locked or censored etc.

Then I go watch Death Race to see people get mutilated by spiked cars with gatling guns, with some 16yo's i don't know sitting in the row ahead.
Or see some heads and bodyparts get blown off in rambo IV.
Or a Plethora of movies still getting released that are way more graphic and disgusting and detailed than any video game can be with the current level of development technology available.
Or I can walk down the street and rent as much hardcore porno as I want, in any variety you can imagine, uncensored and uncut.

i'll be damned if you so much as try and put sexual innuendo in videogames without someone freaking out over it.

I agree with that totally, but in a different sense. I think anyone stupid enough to whine about video games being bad, while ignoring the much worse movie industries should either be locked up, or put to death. They're wasting oxygen anyway.

3. Games already involve hunting Terrorists, i played Desert Combat on PS2 and i remember killing Iraqi's (not saying Iraqi's are terrorists, just the ones i where killing had AK47 and explosives). Also the Tibetan Masquer could be done by a China company and then after release blocked and censored. Rockstar made a game called State of Emergency which you basically have the job of killing anyone you like in a shopping maul with various weapons.
