Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600XT giving me hell!

Ok, I got this video card today, the 256MB version. Problems from the start. I tried playing Madden 06 with it then Id get into the game for about 5 seconds and then out of no where my screen would go into suspend mode, it keeps doing that, and I keep having to reboot. Then more problems. After rebooting, my computer would freeze up on the Windows XP loading screen....repeatedly making me reboot. Taking the card out fixed the problem. Does anyone know whats up with this card?

try to format ur computer, and then install windows xp again

Did that, the only thing that works is making my card 4x instead of 8x even though I have a 8x motherboard which is weird.
