To run Call-Of-Duty 2 smoothly.. bang-4the-$ video card?

Crappy ATi 9950 puts out anywhere between 15~25fps in lowest resolution with all the settings on minimum.

One part of COD2 got my PC under 25 FPS for a second, holy crap this game is either very unoptimized or demanding. It is beautiful don't get me wrong, I have a 6800gs and a P4 3.0 and a gig of ram, I've got it at 1024x768 mostly medium settings, I've been to tweakguides.com and used to COD2 tweakguide, helped but still........this game needs a 7800gt to get the most out of it, or maybe my processor is too weak but this game is mostly GPU dependant.

My 7800GT "barely" gets by at max settings at 1280x1024, as I've said. I get from 25-40 fps on average. The graphics don't look rich enough for it to be as demanding as it is, so I say its unoptomized.

No, I say the 7800GT has at least 4-6 months left AT THE MOST for playing on high settings at 1280x1024 or higher.

The people who can't run CoD2 at max at 1280x1024 seem to need some sort of excuse to console themselves...

CoD2 will run at ~50FPS on a resolution of 1280x1024, with settings on HIGH.

Now FEAR...theres a crappily inefficient game.

I can rud cod2 on max evreything at 1280 x 1024 with a Radeon 9550....and I get 67 FPS...But now I cant becuase I fried my computer....I had one stick of ram In on one side and Out on the other and when I started it I head a fry noise and then bunches of smoke went evreywhere...now it wont turn on and I think My mobo is toasted, along with evreything else..

i have 7800GTX512 but i only get 35 (30-50) fps average @1024x768 everything high. i was using 81.85 driver before and i updated it to 81.98. it gave me 5-10fps gain. very noticable gain. u can make the resolution higher as long as u turn the AA down or off. that affects a lot to fps.

9550 and 6600gt run this game better than a 6800gs or a 7800gt? Wow, we must of gotten ripped off!
