Rome with FX 5900XT

i cant run Rome:Total War on my WinFast geforce FX5900XT. The game doesnt even start, just gives a blank screen. I tried the latest drivers form both nvidia and winfast. The game used to work on my older radeon 7000.

Help plz!!

I guess the game simply is not compatible. I had problems like that before with various games. If you already reinstalled it, then installed the lastest drivers. Not much more to do.

EDIT: You know what, i was wondering what the hell a FX900XT was lol

First off, make sure your monitor still works properly, then...

i've heard that a lot of people have trouble when they go from ATI to Nvidia based cards or vice versa. You usually have trouble getting all the video card drivers from the old card deleted.

Try a fresh format and install of OS... thats my recomendation!

did you do a clean uninstall of your ATi drivers?

did a clean uninstall,twice . using the device manager and the uninstall funtion in the driver setup
