A Review and some questions

Well everyone ive had my new PC just a week and im very thrilled.

First of all my specs :

Core 2 Duo E6300, 1066Mhz, s775, 2MB
GA-945GM-S2 s775 Conroe, 945G, DDRII 667, PCI-E
1GB Corsair 677 (Single Stick i will be upgrading to 2GB ^^)
X1900XT 512MB, 2xDVI, VIVO, PCI-E
Seagate 80GB 7200RPM, 8MB, SATA II
Western Digital 80GB IDE HD (for backups)
Enermax Noisetaker EG425P-VE 420W

Ok well now for temps:
CPU @ 50C on full load 44 on multi tasking
VGA on idle 48C on full load 56C

Games:

I play CS:S i have settings on High on everything AA and HDR at the most resolution 1280x1024 (LCD).

I get 160 fps average did a test with Fraps

Complaints:
My caught a vertical line like a refresh line so i tried V-Sync and it helped a little i turned it off and put my mhz to 75 and its gone for now ...
Am i wreking my screen by turning the mhz to 75 ?
I have a Samsung 960BF i really like it .

PS (Please dont mock/suggest/review my hardware make me feel bad about anything in my PC plz plz plz just talk/advise about setting etc...)
