Two shots in the skull or 5+ shots in the body to down an enemy in my experience in RAGE. 1 shot with the sniper rifle unless they are wearing a helmet.

Can't play shooter games like this unless there is a specific reason why a bullet to the head doesn't kill like they are a WTF monster from Dead Space or something. Just my clash with games. BF3 warmed up to me because the accuracy is about 4x better than BF2. I can actually head shot people in that game. A 357 like gun should blow a nasty hole in a humanoid head.
