Question about Game specs

Recommended System Specs:

Windows XP/2000/ME/98
Pentium III 1GHz or equivalent
512 MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9000 or GeForce 4 Ti Series with 64MB of video memory
500 MB free hard drive space
Internet connection

This is Guild War's recommended system specs. I have a Celeron 2.5 GHz processor, and I'm not sure if my processor is "better" than the Pentium III they're talking about, or if it is "worse". Can anybody clarify this problem for me?

Your CPU will perform better than the PIII by quite a bit.

I am a little warey about MMOLRPG game specs. Like you might be find now, but a few patches and my be an expansion later, you might be finding yourself if having to get more ram.

Classic Example was Star Wars Galaxies where 6 months after the game was released, you really needed twice the specs that were published on the box to run the game.

Yup. A lot of publishers put the minimum minimum specs so that noobs would buy the game not knowing that minimum specs only means that the game will run but not actually play.
