Which processor better for gaming?

Umm, I would 2.8ghz, but I'd seriously go for the 800FSB version if i were you

Don't go for Prescott.
It dissipates a lot of heat.
As Merln said go for a 2.8GHZ with 800MHZ FSB.

Mmmm, true...the 2800+ Athlon XP could handle the Prescott most likely, but from the P4 2.8ghz they XP tends to fall behind the P4

Plus, he would have to change mobos....negating the money saved with the XP

So......I still say the 2.8ghz P4

The 2.8 GHz. The prescott can't make up for the clock speed .
