Problems with BF2 patching?

So I downloaded the new patch from BF2's site. It loads the patch then goes to the dialog box that says "Patching, please wait..." Then it seems to get stuck on this screen. How long is this suppose to take? I tried a fresh reinstall of the game to see if it would help but it seems to do the same thing. Any Ideas?

Now, I wanna post another prob which I fixed myself..

Ok, I had the BF2 demo installed, then I isntalled the full game, and uninstalled the demo. What happened next was the demo seemed to have deleted the BF2 full game registries. So if the installer for the patch says "cannot find battleifeld 2 installation" you need to create a new registry entry, like so:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA Games\Battleifeld 2]
InstallDir "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2"

or wherever you installed the game.
