Problem with HL2, and Source....

Ok so I just installed them both about a week ago...

I went to las vegas, came back booted up my computer and decided to play...I open up HL2 first and when its loading It ask me to end the program, and I do.....

Then When I open up source, I get

The Instruction at"0x242b16c4" refrenced memory at "0x0d48a4f8" The Memory could not be "read"

Click OK to terminante the program...


I had these installed on my old harddrive and that harddrive is dead right now...

It was on same steam account so I figured I didnt have to do the cd key again...

and yes they are both updated

I was about to post the same problem.
I have no idea what it could be. I reinstalled the game several times and nothing.

Anyone?

same problem although I was having different problems with other things at the same time, just formatted so it better work now
