Problem with Doom 3 Settings

whenever I change the settings in doom3 from 640x480 to 1024x768 and from no anti-aliasing to 16x it tells me to restart so the settings can take effect and after i do so the settings go back to the way it was before.

Thats because its not supported. 16xAA is only avalible through SLI. Without using SLI, the highest you can push your AA is 4x. Try incresing the resolution to 1024x768 and if that works, try 2xAA and if that works, 4x, and if that works fine, increase the resolution.. just tweak and poke around in your settings.

your right! I can push the settings up to 4x and 1024x768 no problem. I'm using a radeon X1900tx btw

haha just 4x and 1024x768, i think u can run up to 1600x1200 with X1900tx.

what does it look like? try turning vsync on, in the game's graphics settings, and then give it a try.
