Perhaps somone can help me with a connection problem while gaming

I was hoping someone could perhaps give me a suggestion, or idea to prevent my problem. So here I goÂ… I have a cable internet connection running through a router and when I start up the computer everything runs great. I do a bit of gaming and I have recently been playing a lot of Wolfenstein Enemy Territory (btw a great game if you like multi person first person shooters you should download it from happypuppy.com) ANYHOOÂ… when I play the game my machine loses the internet connection during the game, so when I exit, I canÂ’t access web sites via internet explorer, but applications such as AIM and Yahoo Messenger work fine.All I need to do is restart and everything works great again. My question is, can anyone think of a reason in which this problem might happen? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for any help. :bald:

Check the optioning on the hardware.
If that is no help try and supply more detail about cpu stats and if that is the only game making that happen.

yeah, and what OS are you running?

try setting you pc up as a DMZ in the router only while playing games and see if that helps
