I just started to play computer games. I have installed a few demos first. They all lag. I dont know what the problem could be. I dont have a lot of stuff on my computer to take up space and I deleted my spy ware program. I have no clue what it could be. My computer is fairly new also so I doubt it is my video card.

I doubt its my card because the games graphics arent bad, it just lags a lot. Can that be a cause of a bad video card? also my computer is 512 mb, about 148 gigs. Im not sure what type of video card I have. Im not sure if I even have one. Its just whatever came with the computer. There are a few demos,

Yes that's a sign that you probably have a low-end video card.
To check what video card you have, go to :
Start > Run > type "dxdiag" without the quotes - and then go to the "display" tab.
now you can see the manufacturer and the chip type and the card name. go ahead and see what you've got.
