Oblivion + x1950XT = wtf?

The problem with the 7900s were the ones that were pre-overclocked. Those burnt out very fast. That is also why nVidia was more strict on overclocking the G80 and 7950 cards.

i think im just going to try and reinstall. i think the graphics got corrupted during installation, or that it is a problem with the video driver, because no matter what settings i put it at, it gets those glitches.

the 7900gt had an over clock of 20mghz my 7950gt has an oc of 120mghz and it runs fine

Nvidia bans overclocking for its G80

For a while nvidia was very strict. But after partners started to express their disapproval nvidia rolled them back.

anyway, i found a fix for oblivion i reinstalled the game, then i installed the unofficial patch, then i followed a bit of this tweak guide TweakGuides.com - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Tweak Guide and now it works wonderfully. thanks for everyones help

i got bored of the game though....to much walking.

Im getting the 8800gtx soon so i might try it again.
