Oblivion crashing/freaz.. Many times..

Ok I got my Oblivion several days ago and it crashed many times.
I dont know what can be the problem

My comp specs are:
AMD X2 4400+
2 GB of Ram
7800GT 256

When I run game using only one core game runs fine, no crashes. But when I use two cores its crash almost ever minute.

Have anyone else had such problems? Dual Core users?

Any one know how to fix this problem. I mean some ppl run game using Dual Core fine, with out crashes. But....
And game was made to use Dual Core CPU.

Yes. I have that installed. PS do I need to have Cool N Quiet on or not?

after installing the fix, reboot your pc, dont forget that

well I'm sure if he's already installed it, has installed oblivion, has played it and has had it crashed......he's already rebooted atleast once.....

Turn it off. Also make sure things like CPU and FSB Spread Spectrum are turned off in your BIOS if you happen to see those options turned on.

Without being there though, I really don't have any other ideas or suggestions to give you since I really don't know what's happening and what could be the problem just off the info thus far.
