Need help with my Sims...

Yes, I admit it, I do play The Sims, and I like them

I am a little chagrined at the moment though...

My kids broke my Sims Deluxe cd. Sims will not run off the second cd for the set, figured it was worth a shot as the backup copy I burnt when I bought it doesn't work either.

And I wonder why Maxis even bothers telling you you CAN burn one back-up copy of your game when the damn things never seem to work anyway?? At least when it was Alpha Centauri that got broken it only cost me $5 to replace it, I don't have $20 on me to go and replace my Sims for awhile.

Well, that made me feel a bit better, sorry guys...

I realize I haven't been around much because I've been having to work too much but I honestly can't remember a time up until now that NO ONE had anything to say/offer....

A little help or some suggestion would be greatly appreciated..

you could download a crack for it, since you did by the game legimately.

I have an aversion to installing viruses on my computer, which is basically what a crack would do....

It's just very annoying because I did a complete install of the game to begin with. I don't understand why it requires a cd to run anyway.

I was hoping there would be a less invasive/risky solution.
