Savage free and very fun.

Basically there are 2 teams, one commander on each team playing in an RTS style game, and the rest of the people on the teams act like peons, building stuff attacking it's really fun even with 3 people.

Yep savage is an online game as well. Very very fun when you play in a server with 20 people on each team.

For the Commander(RTS Mode) theres quite a learning curve, just for knowing buildings you need to build and what upgrades to make.

For the First Person mode, very small learning curve all you need to know is how to build, which is just by attacking the building, how to farm, same thing.

Yes savage is FREE to play online.
