no if you just having a lan party then you wont need a internet connection as LAN is a Private Network so the internet wont see it so

But everyone would have forget to put steam into offline mode, and than that would be no fun.

I tend to keep the internet OFF LIMITS with Lan parties.

But everyone would have forget to put steam into offline mode, and than that would be no fun.

The last few lan parties I went to, we were not playing anything that required STEAM.


Last time we still had a net connection at a LAN party, some one forgot to make the UT2k4 Server PRIVATE, and we had some cyber-gate crashers.

my roommate and i share a cable connection (3 or 4 mbs). we have no problems with BF2 and i'm sure we could hand a few more.
