Was this game even good?

I might get a cheapo 8000 card for PhysX Acceleration and my OC'ed HD 3850 512MB for Primary stuff

As long as you have a relatively new Nvidia GPU, physx will not be a problem.

ATI users need a physx card to play max it.
Nvidia users, that are affected by physx, can get new drivers that were released a few days after ME was out.

Other than that, the game runs superbly and doesn't eat up too much power.
For me Time Trials are were its at, but the story mode was really fun....simple story, but fun.

I'm not getting paying upwards of $50 o_O...

Plus I like AMD better :) and this card has sentimental value

its true, but lets say you find a 9600gt or a 8800gs for under 50$ used, why stay with a slower main gpu when the nvidia chip will be faster with almost everything and handle the physx aswell. its a waste of space and power, if you do get one make a plack out of the 3850 then it will have real sentimental value. its pointless to hold yourself back from upgrading for sentimental value.
