This game is pretty sweet. It is in Alpha still but it runs pretty smooth. I get the occasional crash sometimes but it saves your game periodically.

If you get it.. You will spend hours, and I mean HOURS playing it. Quit addictive.

Luke has this video up:

I suggest going and getting it as it is $14 usd currently and will go up to 28 somethin on final release.

Minecraft

It is very addictive indeed, i have spent countless hours just digging to god knows where in this game. Now that i have pretty much an abundance of every resource except maybe for diamonds, i only have 16 or so diamonds, i can just sit back and relax, work on my home, and craft things with all the resources i now have. I have yet to experiment with tnt, and still need to see what exactly i can do with the 500 some odd red dust i have.

It's a good game with generally good communities on multiplayer (If you don't include the griefers)
It's amazing what some people build on this.

Only problem is, it's known to have problems running with XP sp3

That game looks like half-life. How can they charge money for that?

I have been working on a HUGE castle house.. Been working on it all day lol. I basically took 3 mountains.. Built bridges to connect them all and now am merging them into one big hole in the ground..

I will post pictures later as well and a video tour since its soo big.

Half-Life? lol...

I normally don't like games with ancient graphics either but Minecraft is the exception. I highly recommend trying out the free classic version of the game, odds are you will be hooked.

I've only been playing the Classic version of the game but it's only a matter of time until I break down and buy the full version.

Yea, I love games where you have to build ****. I'll have to give this one a shot.

Given great gameplay, graphics aren't nearly as important. I saw a guy playing Mike Tyson's Punchout as I walked passed his apartment a couple nights ago...lol! He was all into it. I almost knocked on the door to see if I could box him :p

Worked on it a ton more and got my mine shaft to the bedrock. Leveled everything out and built higher walls around it. I also built some fields for planting crops later on as well as building a "main" house type room near the mine shaft.. I took video and stuff but deleted it because it was no where near what it is now.

I am going to be sad to see the game go into beta as it will delete old save games.. But the beauty with this game is you have infinite number of starting over..

As of yesturday:

Today, I cleaned up the top and some nooks and crannies and expanded a bit.. I have expanded enough though so its time to start going down :D. More Screenies of todays work coming.

This is my mine shaft as of mid day. It is now to the bedrock.. I just haven't hollowed the entire thing out yet.
