Make your own mousepad?

I've heard that it's possible to make your own gaming mousepad but how do you do it? I'm a little tight on cash but I need a good mouse pad for my logitech MX-518.

I don't use a mouse pad. I don't know if you're suspose to, or what.

depends on the surface of your desk it you need one. mine is wood so.....

mousepad is good for vision coordination.

So what should I do, buy one, make my own? I find it hard to justify spending $15+ on a mousepad.

thats true, well there are some places that sell premium mousepads for 10 bucks, i do understand shelling out money for a mousepad seems odd but i know some ppl with 40 dollar pads

ive attempted to make mine. it worked quite well for a little bit.

I took some peices of canvas board. A cool color of cloth. Strecthed it tight and stapeled it. Then got some iron on letters and wrote out my current gaming name n00bie.

It worked until the board folded inward.

I was thinking of getting one of those Ratpadz GS gaming pads but I heard that they destroy mouse feet because they're so rough.
