Looking for the name of a *somewhat* old game

****, now I'm thinking Descent: Free Space... that was an awesome game. Supposedly they released the source code and its being remade/sequal because they are no longer in buisness. That will be awesome. Was Mobile Suit Gundam done into a game?

Mobile suit gundam was done into a bunch of pvp fighting games.

I can vouch that the game i'm talking about is sort of a fast paced game. It's not like mechwarrior where you and your AI-buddies go destroy an army other other enemy mechs. It's more focused on 1v1 combat (although sometimes you may have a buddy or two), and it's not sidescrolling, you can move around in free space, switch guns, fly away to dodge bullets, etc...
