Quite a price difference in the two though, correct? For heavy gaming the 7900 is indeed the better choice. But, for 'good' gaming the 1400 would be ok.

No, the 7900GS is equivalent to the X1800, if not better


However, geforce go 7900GTX and 7950GTX can beat any ATI mobility GPU on the market

Over all, if you are serious about gaming, then you would looking for a desktop or at least a shuttle box for the portability.

the Dell XPS and the Alienare, now I just need an opinion on what one.

Dude the 7900 far better than the ATI cards out far laptops now.
