I accidently set my resolution to high for my monitor in bf2 so I can't see anything to change it back to what it was and now I think that the only way to get it back is to un-install bf2 but will I lose my account information if I un-install it?

If you do decide to reinstall, you won't lose account information. Just after you reinstall, type in your account name and password and you should have it all back. There is way to change the resolution without a reinstall by editing the launch variables but I don't remember exactly what to put. I'll let you know if I find it somewhere.

Where can I do that?

I tried going to properties and setting the resolution 640x480 but I still runs the game in the high resolution.

Do this:

Go to wherever bf2 is installed.

Then go to Profiles ---> Local ---> Default ---> Open video with notepad.

game.setGameDisplayMode

Change that to whatever you think should be.

So if it's 1024 by 768 it would be like:

game.setGameDisplayMode 1024 768 32 0

to change the resolution right click on the BF2 icon choose properties then in the target area it should say something like:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

just add:

+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

at the end of the exe file it should make it that resolution I think
