I need some help with getting a new comp

OK i need a new comp cause mine ***** **** im not very technical and i was woundering whats a good cheap comp that would work as a gaming comp i would only be using as a gaming comp so any thoughts as to whats a computer i should buy and where to buy it so tell me any of ur thoughts

im probly ganna sound cheap but i am i only got like 500 range or lower cause im just a kid so got any ideas for a desent comp

For 500 u could get maybe the graphics card and a hard drive......

Try http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ but that's a UK company. I picked up my rig for £600 but I only had 1gb ram, I,ve just upgraded to 2gb and what a difference I couldn't believe it. I gonna try FEAR again and see what happens. Before I could play at 1024x768 with most of the settings on high with 2x AA and 2xAF, so hopefully I will get a better frame rate or up the settings slightly.

1gb of ram is above what most games need, but the more the merrier. you should consider learning how to build your own, its not too complicated as long as you find a good manual( I hate to admit it but i learned to build my first computer using Dummies Guide to Building a PC) its also cheaper to build. think of it like expensive LEGO's.

You will indeed be paying more than 500 for a gaming pc, I have put together a few high end pcs for 600-700, but I hunted around for deals and used a couple extra components I had. You should direct your querry to the Building, Buying, or Upgrading High Performance PC Systems section.

Whats your current PC like, you might be able to just get upgrades to do the job well enough. Otherwise theres not much you can get with 500 bucks, in terms of a whole PC that is.
