Huge problem with FF8!!

When the pc-version of FF8 trys to show me a movie...
the game crashes....
(the game itself works fine)
do i need a plugin or something?

I use:
-win xp
-gforce 3 ti 200
-1800 mhz
-the newest patch that solves the g-force problem
-Direct X 8.1
-(ask me)

Please help me (if you can)

FF8 has a lot of problems with newer graphcs cards, but i had the same problem on my rage 128. I cant remember how i fixed it, sory. Do you have it on software rendering or hardware...tell me the video settings on the game...i may remember. Sorry im not more help

WANT to help me

the game works fine in hardware/sofware mode
but de MOVIES wont work,
ik think i need a plugin orso to see the movies

Damn, i really know how to fix this, its just not coming to me. Grrrah....what resolution do you have the videos set at? High or low? What do yu have all the video settings at...did you turn on palleted textures on your video card? What resolution is everything at? Hopefully i will remember how to fix it.
