How do you get counter strike?

Meh, I'm thinking about buying it... Do your stats get saved? As in kills/deaths/accuracy?

Each server logs stats for you, you can access them in game by typing things like "statsme" and "rank".
I don't think there is any over all stats recording though, like in BF2.

Ohh. If I'm going to be spending hours fragging people, I like having something to show for it. Like in America's Army. The more people you kill (or save, if you're a Medic) the higher honor level you get, etc.

I guess BF2 would be a better choice for me then.
