Hosting a CCS server how does one do this

how does one host a CSS server to have there own server lol or a de. one cant spell and im not going to try lol

The easiest way (for me atleast) is to just rent one.

has reliable and fairly cheap servers.

The other way is to setup and extra comp/server and just run a server off that, but you would need a good connection.

oh and were you trying to spell dedicated?

Download Source Deticated server (doubble click on it)

Play source dedicated server as a game
Click create server button.

yep i was trying to, so can i downlaod it off somewhere esle or will i be able to install my CSS cd in that server and open Dedicated Server. Will i be able to edit and find that Server onces its up or what this will be my first time doing this so i dont know.

What CHris said except you're gonna have to

1.) static your internal ip (i.e. 192.168.0.102 for me)
2.) forward your port 27015 for both TCP and UDP (just select "both", it's probably an option)
