hl2 question

i am considering buying hl2, but the computer i would be installing it on in my bedroom, does not have an internet connection, and ive heard that hl2 has a complicated registration process with some other program over the internet. is it possible to register without an internet connection?

Nope I dont believe you can

Nah unfortunately you need an Internet connection. What you can do is take your computer downstairs or wherever yuor Internet is, register and update HL2, and then play it in offline mode afterwards. You don't need the Internet to play, just to register and install.

You have to register the game on steam, which can be done on any computer you just have to have HL2 installed. After that you can have an option to play offline.

You need to be online to sign into steam at first, as well as unlock HL2
