HL2 mod Eternal Silence Beta 1 Released

Saw this on 2404.org and thought it looked cool.

Eternal Silence is a science fiction mod for Half-Life 2 which pits two capital ships against each other in a seamless blend of space warfare and tactical infantry combat. These two teams race to destroy each other in the depths of space. Pilots coordinate strikes with invading infantry in order to take down the behemoth capital ships from both the inside on-foot and the outside with spaceships. Full of fast-paced action both in space and on foot, Eternal Silence offers a seamless blend of two exciting genres.

Just one question, though. What exactly is the Source SDK Base?

NOTE: Source SDK Base is required to play this mod (and all new mods coming out)

I haven't reinstalled HL2 since I reformatted... and don't know if I can since I only have the CD key and not the account info (was already on the computer when I bought it).

Anyway, if anyone tried it out, let us know how it is.
