Opposite happened for me. Performance was far worse.

Performance is worse for me also....but in older games where performance is not an issue...it is great.

You shouldn't have performance issues with a 680.

Can't go too old as they wont support the higher res. I think games made from later 2006 and up were finally geared toward high res wide screen gaming.
