well like I've been saying, once you've played one quake, you've played them all....it might be fun at our monthly LANs and all, buuuut it's just revamped graphics, same old BS

quake4 looks like quake3 in multiplayer, but i don't care about multiplayer, what is important is the single player. and i think the game looks so good for the single player

I have to disagree, Single player is really good and important, but multiplayer is the most important thing in an fps.

Is quake kind of like a mix between doom and hl?

I play it at 1280x1024, high settings, no AA, 4x AF, and it plays like a charm for the most part, although i get slowdowns in places. Nothing that makes it unplayable though. Honestly, i don't think this game really needs AA, although Nubius would disagree. I would rather play on a higher resolution than have AA enabled. AF though is more important to me.

meh i like the fact that it retains q3's mp feel cause i thought q3 was a really great mp game. i guess thats just me though
