halp a noob. BC2 Tracer Dart Question.

I know I'm mildly retarded a lot of the time, but I don't understand the tracer dart in BC2. I went to an empty server to test it. I fire at a tank, I stand back, pull out my M136 launcher, and fire above it/to the side/etc. I can't "lock on" to it. Is there a special way this gizmo works? Perhaps I should stick to my sniper rifles...

When you tracer a vehicle there will then be an orange square on it. Use either the rpg 7 or carl and put you crosshair inside this square and fire, no matter if the tank moves, it will track to it and give you a much better chance of hitting the moving target.

Ahhh, I see now. I have to point @ that target until it's solid, then fire, and it'll trace it. Not to mention, the M136 isn't compatible with tracer darts. Guess I missed the bold statement blatantly listed when you select it.
