Half Life 2 - Not working

Hi,
Whenever I get to the part where you're standing on the train (The very beginning) my monitor switches off!

Could it be my graphics card? (GeForce 6800 LE, with newest drivers)
All other games work fine though!

Any ideas?

If the monitor turns off (I cant imagine why or how) then turn it back on...

If the computer shuts off, then It is probably a heat problem.

The monitor goes into standby and I have to restart the computer to get it back on.

It sounds like you are having a VPU failure. Try reseating for graphics card. Also, how hot is it getting? If it is getting too hot, that is likely to be part of your problem. Completely re-install your drivers. Also, is it a steam download or a retail version? I have heard other people having problems with their steam download....

Yeah, I was having problem with that when I was installing. I kept on trying to click on HL2 icon (like what any person would do normally). I would get the stream progress bar appearing on my screan, and then disappearing after some where around 20%.
It was not until I click on the STEAM ICON, it would do the same at about 40%.
It was on until I access the game via the AutoRun Menu on the CD that was able to complete this.
