Half Life 2....

Hey.. i have half life 2 installed and an account with steam.. everytime i try to launch half life 2 it says its decoding the files and stays on 20% for as long as i would let it.. or if it doesnt do that it says preparing to launch halflife 2 and then stops responding... since i have dial up, would it be possible to go to someones house who has dsl, download steam, log in and then update what ever needs to be updatesd?

You would have to take your computer over because the files its trying to update are stored locally on your computer.

and how would i hook the dsl up to it?

by putting the ethernet cable into your computer and changing ur internet settings to run with the ethernet

Make sure that you put it in offline mode after downloading all the reasources
