GTA4 and its CPU intensive needs

I think you will get a bigger improvement in GTA4 when Rockstar gets off their *** and patches the game. Most of the performance issues aren't do to it being that intense. It's mostly because they did a poor job of porting the code.

to be honest, im hoping for performance issues to be fixed in the next patch (if there is).

Crysis demo was bad on my computer. Now with updated patches, it runs almost like butter at 30 fps average or so. Crysis Warhead is a bit worse, the single player campaign hasnt been patched yet.

EDIT:

i predict a jump of 5 fps or more when i upgrade.
 
Does anyone else have problems where for a few minuted the game goes like this?
