Yes, it could be one of those "value-packed" Gateways with Celeron processors and 256MB of PC2100 value RAM. Try updating your drivers.

Maybe the players wanted to be the color grey? Cause in the Xbox version you can choose different colors, but I never really got into Halo for PC even though I got it.
