Hello All,
I am having a problem with my gateway FX laptop, it has recently started crashing after at most 5 minutes of game time, in all of my games(mostly BF2, BF:BC2, MoH(all of them) Far Cry 2, ArmA 2, CoD MW)
I know my pc isnt rated to run a couple of them, but up until now it has run them on lower settings with no issues,
my system specs are:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHz
GeForce 8800M GTS 2.2 GB dedicated
Windows Vista x64 SP2

Define "crashing" as the term can mean a lot of things. Are you talking CTD (crash to desktop), freezing up (the game or the entire system), BSOD (blue screen), what?

My first thoughts are heat or driver corruption. For overheating, try using some compressed air to blow out the vents on your lappy. For driver corruption, download the proper drivers for your card from Nvidia, uninstall your current drivers, boot into safe mode, use Driver Sweeper to find and remove any remnants of the GRAPHICS drivers (and graphics drivers ONLY), reboot into normal mode, and then install the drivers you just downloaded.
