This is my first thread on this forum, and i have a slight problem with my computer.
It isn't a full decked out gaming computer, but i like to use it for gaming, and now, it seems to fail. At first i was playing MW2 on average graphics, instant load, hours on end, music running, no problem. Now, with minimum graphics, no music running, i can barely load it up before it freezes.
My computer:
motherboard - P5P43TD
Cpu- Intel Core 2 duo E8500
Ram- 4gb DDR3
HD- 465gb sata, 800gb sata
Sound- Basic inbuilt motherboard
Graphics- NVIDIA geForce 6600GT
Power Supply- not sure on brand, from dad's work of old server 550w
OS- Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (legit copy)

Now yes i know, with 32 bit i am only using 3.2g of ram. I have zero gadgets running. My screen resolution is 1024 x 768 (nothing fancy). If it has any affect, I have 2 screens plugged into my video card.
If anyone can tell me why it has stopped working, it would be great, no new installation have been done, have reinstalled drivers from cd's.
I now plan on buying a new video card. Ive been looking around, and im looking for something good, but cheap. The Gigabyte NVIDIA N250ZL GTS250 has really stood out for me at $160 Aus, my price range is max 200 for a vid card. All opinions would be great :)

It may be your video card....what are the temperatures of the card?

Maybe download hardware monitor and get the temperatures of your components, and report back.
