Games not working in XP

I have 2 old games:
-Silver
-Warzone 2100

I can't get them to run in XP. I want to play them so badly, especially Warzone.

start --> all program --> accesories -> program compatibility wizard

and then just run as windows 95/98 or w/e you want

or "right click" on icon, > properties > compability

Already tried that. No success.

What are they meant to be played on? If its DOS, then you can get an emulator. DOSBox works quite well.

They work on 95, 98 and ME. Maybe I will install 98se with my next format. But I need a new HD. Mine are 99% full.

Some old games just won't run on windows xp man. Warcraft 2 is sadly one of them unless you get the BNET edition. damn blizzard not updating the original.. bastards.

I tried with dosbox for it or vdms.. but... the music, it's not the cool versions, but the crappy midi's since those run in dos mode and not win95. I think I'm better off trying to run them in Linux, lol.

I have a 98se/xp dual boot, used that for a little while but eventually switched over to XP fully. Now half my hd is sitting there uselessly because I can't find the time to wipe it and merge my partitions.
I have a 486 packard bell that I use for all of my dos gaming, although Dosbox does work admirably well on my xp machine.
