In game video recorder?

Hey all, anyone know of any applications that allow me to digitally record a game I'm playing on my computer? Something that I could use to make little movies of actual gameplay.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

FRAPS works, but the file size is huge once you are finished.

I tried FRAPS but for some reason the recorded video wouldn't show up in the FRAPS folder. It was nowhere to be found.
