which game to get

or which is a better buy: half life 2 or battlefield 2, gonna go buy 1 of these today and looking for a bit of feedback before i go

i am not worried about my specs as they are as follows:

gigabyte k8nsc 939 motherboard
3200+ amd 64
1 gb kingston hyper x ram
2 x 40 gb hdds
asus 6600 256 mb video card

any help would be greatfull

U will buy both eventually. But buy HL2 first, easily the greatest game ever, finish the single player game and try the online shootout. Then get BF2 which is strictly online battle, weopons etc. They are both good, but depends on if you want online action right now or just a mind blowing fun experience.

Half Life 2 hands down. Even comes with CS: S. Even though Valve can be a pain, it's way worth it.
