Floppy!!!!

this is about a problem about my floppy drive.PC is 2-3 yrs old, Intel celeron, 128 sd RAM, mercury motherboard,40 GB HDD,WIN 2000. well my floppy drive isn't detected by system, i tried changing settings in BIOS but no solution. the settings within the OS was right. since my floppy drive was old i brought a new one,but didn't work, changed the bus/slave too.i tried the floppy drive in another PC, it worked perfectly.the CD drive is working perfectly,,, plzzzzzzzzzz help!!!!!!1

is there a constant light on the drive (reversed cable) or no light.

It's a floppy-drive, dude. If it's acting up, pitch it and get a new one. They're a whopping $5 bucks ($10 if you go retail). Don't waste yer time with it.
