Far Cry 2 Doesnt Like XP

Just got the game, and it runs great until i save, then the screen flickers when menus are up and the graphics slow down so much its unplayable. Why wont it stay and run like it does before i save? Or sometimes when i interact with something it will all the sudden start acting up. It does this until i restart the game or keep playing and eventually get a bsod. Any ideas anyone?

The game will run fine, then all the sudden it will run really choppy, and when i pause the menu is flickering, then i go, change AA, vsync or resolution and it resets the graphics and it runs fine again, then it will start doing it again. I get random bsods when saving or right when i hit quit on the game......

Installed old drivers, works fine now. Thanks nvidia =]
