fallout 3 ctd

hey guys i am having a problem with my fallout 3 as is ctd right after when point look out house blows up and debris fall from the sky. if i fast travel to another location without debris it wont crash but as soon as i enter the area where there is debris falling it crashes and i only have dlc plugins installed and no other mods of any kind. also my recent saves will ctd with default fallout.ini settings and wont ctd if i have my 'tweaked' fallout.ini. is there any way to fix my saves or will i have to play like this?
