CS_Source Demo Recording

During normal gameplay everything runs without a hitch. Whenever I record a demo the gameplay entirely changes. Models become laggy and hard to hit and everything "warps" (skips from one spot to another really quick). I am wondering if this is an fps problem or a connection issue. I am planning on ordering an eVGA 6800 GS and wondering if this will help or fix the problem.

Its the way its recording, Cause its recording, writing all the info to a dem file and tring to play the game at the same time. So its gonna start lagging like that. Might wanna try and get 2 gig of ram also. Should help out greatly.

Thats a good idea. With a 6800GS and another gig of ram you think it would all but erase the demo problem I'm having? Thank God for tax returns! : )

css has a built in recorder. my friend use it and dosnt lag at all

The problem is your cpu. While it's not a slow cpu, it is getting outdated and you could record gameplay much better if you had a newer, and better cpu. But, even then it would probably still be lagging you a tad.

I always know when fraps is on because the game looks like ****.
