CS:S Server Issue

Many times when I log into steam, open CS:S, and choose a server I cannot join. Only certain servers will allow me to join and the rest simply bring up the next green box after the server box (the one that tells latency, says join, gives player list...etc.) and the ping of the server goes from somewhere around 37 to 1000 to 2000 and then it says it can't connect after 4 retries. Anyone have any ideas?

I am connected to my DSL modem through a wireless router, though I am hard wired to the router.

It's buggy as ****, you have to learn to live with it. I know I did, grr.

LoL, steam, CS:S, heck anything valve has ever made was buggy so I guess you're right, just one of those things. Although I did find I connected if I waited like 30 seconds...maybe it's downloading resources...who knows, but thanks for the attempted help!
