CS:S randomly freezes....

I have been playimg cs:s for about a year now but just built a new computer about 1 month ago. cs:s ran perfectly ever since this week. My ping has shot up to around 120 and I just randomly freeze for about 10 secounds during the game every few minutes. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

First off, what are your specs?
Got any anti-virus software on your PC?
What kind of internet connection do you have?

I have frickin Norton internet security but I turn that off as well as my firewall to play games. I have an AMD 3700, 7600 gt, and 1 gb ram. I have DSL but im not quite sure the exact speed.

have you got the latest patch for the game and make sure your video card drivers are up to date

well i just reinstalled my video drivers and it seems that the freezing has stopped but my ping still sux . It dosent really affect my game its just annoying to know you are the player with the highest ping most of the time

Have you turned off the Windows Firewall as well?

Maybe you've been over you monthly cap for your internet?

cl_cmdrate 101
cl_updaterate 101
rate 25000
it will help your ping
