CS fps

I have no clue how it happened. I used to play perfectly smooth. But now I am so choppy, it is nausiating to watch.

My incoming on the netgraph 4 is between 200 and 250 when playing, but my out is in the 20's. How do I fix this? I know I searched but couldn't find anything, and the people on the steam forums are assholes just becuase the know the game inside and out. So please, can somebody help me?

I'm talking about Counterstrike 1.6...

not sure if this will fix your problem but these work well for me,

in console:

rate 20000
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100
cl_weather 0
fps_max 100

turn vsync off

I doubt these will fix your issue but they should improve it a little.

you running anything else while your playing 1.6?

I am not running anything while playing.

How do you turn off vsync?

open cs, options -> video -> advanced

under vsync turn it off

No idea why it wouldn't play smooth on your rig, its an old ass game.

Yeah i liked maxed that out on my p3 500 system

Which was a kicking 3g system in it's time that was hardcore. My parents got the expensive PC's BEFORE i was a gamer.

REINSTALL. I had that problem. I wasnt sure what the problem was, but I reinstalled and it fixed it. Also make sure to get updated video card drivers.

Set:

rate 25000
cl_updaterate 101
cl_cmdrate 101
fps_max 100

Turn vSync off, and try different resolutions.
